WHAT TO EXPECT

What to Expect

Expect to be welcomed. Whatever your age, ethnicity, background, life experience, whether you’ve gone to church every Sunday since you were born or have never been, we are honored and thrilled for you to join us. Expect people to be authentic, kind, and interested in who you are. It may be challenging to convey this through the masks and social distancing requirements of the Covid-19 safety standards. Nevertheless, we hope you’ll feel welcomed and valued.

Expect to find community. You will find a community of people who are marked by love, because we have been loved. We believe Jesus has loved us with a sacrificial, committed love. He calls and empowers us to love one another in the same way (John 13:34-35). Expect to find a community of people committed to one another’s well being.

Expect to find many different kinds of people. We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ brings many different kinds of people around a shared identity in Christ. So, come as you are.

Attire. There is no need to dress up unless you want to. You will see people wearing all kinds of different clothing, including blue jeans and sweatshirts. If you are more comfortable dressing nice, that’s great, too.

Worship Style. Our worship style is an intentional blend of ancient and modern. Our music blends hymns and contemporary worship. We will follow a liturgical structure that intentionally tells the gospel story, and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday. We want to allow space for people to express themselves in worship and space for people to sit quietly in prayer and reflection. We use modern technology for the purpose of  aiding in our worship.
