MISSION & VALUES

Mission

Christ the Redeemer Quincy exists to see and share the love, truth and relevance of Jesus Christ with our city.

Vision

Our vision is expressed through our core values:

We are…

1. Gospel Centered

The gospel is the good news that God has given everything so that broken and sinful people might be restored to loving relationship with Him. This good news is the center of everything we believe, and everything and do; it applies to every aspect of life. And it is because of Jesus’ sacrificial love for us, which we know from the perfect testimony of the Scriptures, that we are compelled and empowered to love and serve others.

2. Prayerfully Depending

Our desire is for prayer to be the heartbeat of our church. We can do nothing apart from the work of the Holy Spirit. “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”[1] We are a church who prays because we know our desperate need of God to work in and through us at all times and in all circumstances.

3. Community Enjoying

Our desire is to be a church where people want to be, because we want to be around one another. We are committed to loving God, which practically means loving one another,  being committed to the flourishing of the other. We long for people to see in our community, “a light so lovely that others want with all their hearts to know its source.”[2]

4. City Serving

We desire to love and serve Quincy in such a way that people would miss us if we were not here. We long to be a multi-cultural, intergenerational church that brings together people of diverse cultures, ages and backgrounds around a shared identity in Christ. We pray that, through our church, we ourselves and many others in Quincy and the surrounding area would experience the healing and restoring power of Christ to change lives.

5. Kingdom Minded

We are not about making a name for ourselves, but our deep desire is to see the reign and recognition of King Jesus extended. For that purpose, we are thrilled to collaborate with other churches and organizations doing good in our city. We are a part of a church planting movement that goes beyond Quincy to impact greater Boston and beyond.
